Fall Is Here

Oh yeah! Someone, pinch me! Is it really fall? I’ve waited so long!

Cool mornings, cool nights, long-sleeves, and don’t forget the hot chocolate. I don’t think I know anyone that wishes summer would last a little longer. Do you? By the middle of September, we are all begging for mercy!

Now we get to enjoy the breezy nights with the campfires, the songs, and the s’mores.

We get to dig out the blankets and our heavier clothing. Don’t forget the camouflage and boots so the men-folk (and women-folk, too) can get a deer for the freezer.

Apple cider is at the market as well as all of those beautiful hard squashes. Farmers offer hay rides, corn-mazes, and pumpkin patches. Vendors are setting up their wares at the festivals, and families are trying to get to them on the weekends.

This is the time of the year that we most especially love to go to the mountains and camp out.

There’s something about the crisp cool breeze and the renewing that I feel during the change of the seasons.

I feel so young and alive all over again. I love to feel the crunch of the leaves under my feet.

I love to see the dew on the grass in the morning. I love to snuggle-up under the blanket while watching a Christmas movie way too early. Fall makes everything better.

I’ll tell you something else that makes everything better. Jesus Christ, the love of my life. He wakes me in the morning. He cuddles me when I cry over spilled milk. He holds my hand when I cross the streets of my life. He loves me. And you know what? He loves you too.

Jesus wants you to enjoy Him, just as you enjoy all the wonderful things in your life that He so freely gives. So try it… enjoy Him, live life. Life is good.

Peace and love, Cheryl
