Be a Light

Do you ever feel like you’re speaking into the wind? Like no one is listening. I mean, they HEAR you, especially when your voice is raised a couple of levels, but they are not listening.

Or, what about when you try to give someone advice and they willingly accept it, but do nothing with it? Was it breath wasted? Or was there a seed planted…maybe for a LATER date? Who knows.

I’ll tell you who knows. Jesus knows. He knows how hard you try to be a good friend. He sees you trying to comfort, console, counsel, and understand the person in your life – the person that He put in your life. I don’t believe in coincidence, I believe that the Lord strategically lets people into our lives that He wants us to love or just to share life with. Our part is to do the best with what we have and who we know.

Sometimes, it really does get, hmmm….Challenging. Frustrating. Like maybe if you lose your cool, it will help? And then, all of a sudden, something will click in the mind of the person you are trying to convince….of whatever.

Victory! Triumph! Good conquers evil! And then you know that it was worth the hours of frustration and prayers. Did you HEAR the last part? Prayers.

You should know, until they hear the Lord’s convictions and are ready to listen, you are going to be one frustrated puppy.
Get on your knees. Lift your friend up to the Lord. Don’t talk about them. Don’t get mad at them. Listen, pray, then speak. Be a light in this dark world to your brother or sister in Christ.
Peace and love, Cheryl
