Mildred Minter McDowell

Mildred Minter McDowell passed peacefully from this life on the evening of June 25, 2025.

Mildred was born in Monticello, to the parents of Sam and Hiley Minter. Mildred married James McDowell Sr (deceased) and were the parents of four children; (twin Larry McDowell Sr. deceased)

Mildred is survived by three children, James McDowell Jr,, Lynda McDowell Lee, and Angela McDowell (Milton) Moss; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Virginia McDowell; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives.

A celebration of life for Mildred Minter McDowell will be:Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 12 noon at St James A.M.E. Church, 514 Funderberg Drive, Monticello, Ga. 31604

Interment will be Monday, July 7, 2025 at Riverview Memorial Garden, 5411 South Cobb Drive, Atlanta, Ga. 30339. Remains in care of Hines Funeral Home Atlanta, Ga.
