Jewell Dean ‘Judy’ Williamson Dills

Jewell Dean “Judy” Williamson Dills, age 83, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle.

Judy Dills was born on May 31, 1941 to the late Glen Franklin Williamson and Nola Etta Caroline Roper Williamson. She was raised in Franklin, North Carolina and moved to Monticello in 1960.

She enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Before retirement, she worked as a private caregiver for a number of individuals.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Bernard Dills, Jr.; son, Jackie Dills; sister, Flora Elaine Williamson; and brothers, Glen Rogers Williamson, Benjamin “Benny” Roper Williamson, Sr., and Jimmy Williamson.

She is survived by her daughter, JaLita Suttles of Franklin, North Carolina; son, Steven Dills of Monticello; grandchildren, Brittney Suttles (Michael “Bubba” Tillman), Jacquline Suttles, Chassidy (Stephen) Barnett and Chasen Pendergrass; great-grandchildren, Jace Campbell, Saydey Allen, Barrett Tillman, Meleah Barnett and Tommy Barnett; sister, Delia Mae “Debbie” Hardy of Monticello; brothers, Charlie Williamson and Mac Arthur Williamson of Franklin, North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend, Nellie Hall of Monticello.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, March 28, 2025, at Williams Payne Cemetery.

Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
