Monticello Baptist Church Hosts Pageant

On Sunday, Dec. 22, Monticello Baptist Church hosted its annual Children’s Christmas Pageant.

The Children’s Ministry uses the annual pageant to tell the story of the birth of Jesus and the reason for the Christmas holiday. The children began practicing in October for their performance. This year, 33 children and youth participated in the pageant in several capacities.

Participants included: Renny Burton, Luca Artessa, Braylen Layton, Maggie Foster, Ellie Drew, Elliot Hoffman, Evelyn McMichael, Josie Schleiden, Katie Grace Bryant, Elizabeth Wiggins, Sammy Lashbrook, Tripp Wilson, Shane Johnson, Hunter Martin, Michael Mathis, Mattie Chambers, Claire Goolsby, Abby Bryant, Betty Evans, Amos McMichael, Lilly May Bailey, Eli Schleiden, and Ben Wiggins.

Special Music was performed by Elliott and Braden Hoffman, Renny Burton, Ella Artessa, Natalie Lashbrook, Madalynn Bryant, and Josh McMillian.

Stage and Technical Crews included: Zachary and Tyler Garvin, Braxton Wilson, and Silas Lashbrook.

The performance was directed by Bonnie Garvin. Music and costumes were organized by Kristy Burton. Special thanks to Tamara Haase, Russ and Angie Bennett, and Nancy Mitchell.
