Deputies Have Fairly Light Week

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office had a relatively light week last week, with no major accidents or tragedies. And, not a lot of people were booking in to the Jasper County Detention Center either.

Those who were, and their charges, incude:

•Cortney Marie Bell, 32, Covington—Probation Violation

•Travis Lamar Taylor, 33, Jackson—housed for Butts County

•Raoul Agustin Jackson, 49, Monticello—Aggravated Stalking (two counts)

•Ryan Reese Robinson, 18, Covington—Probation Revocation

•James Michel Singleton, 66, Augusta—Failure to Appear for a Fingerprintable Charge

•Jeffery Ryan Griffin, 44, Monticello—Battery/Family Violence

•Roby Rahman, 41, Loganville—Possession of Marijuana/less than an ounce

•Austin Taylor Coleman, 27, Monticello—DUI/Driving under the Influence of Alcohol

•Patricia Latreace Yarbrough, 43, Monticello—Failure to Appear for Fingerprintable Charge

•Martha Renee Graves, 42, Monticello—Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance (two counts); Possession of Methamphetamine; Possession of Methamphetamine w/intent to Distribute; Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic

•Amy Marie Herring, 42, Covington—Probation Violation

Deputies also responded to numerous calls for service, including making 87 traffic stops and making 65 premises checks and serving civil papers to 33 people They also had 13 calls of subject needs officer, and responded to 12 mechanical breakdowns and 11 alarms. Other types of calls include Vin verification, roadway hazard, assist motorist, reckless driver, welfare checks and juvenile problems, just to name a few.
