GRAND PRIZE WINNER

Cassandra Campbell (left) was the lucky winner of the Monticello News Football Contest Grand Prize when the drawing was held Monday at The News office. Ms. Campbell had two chances at winning, but it only takes one, and sure enough her name was drawn. Ms. Campbell is a regular contest player and submits entries for herself and family members each week. She was excited to get the prize of four premium tickets to the Chick-Fil-A/Peach Bown in Atlanta on New Year’s Day.

The game will feature Arizona State versus the winner of the Clemson/Texas contest. The drawing was held at The News office, and Extension office personnel, Kasey Hall and Andrea Dirito were on hand to witness the drawing, which they were hoping to win. Editor Kathy Mudd is shown transferring the tickets to Ms. Campbell. She said she’s definitely taking her adolescent son to the game. She wasn’t sure if her daughter would be interested, but upon learning it’s four tickets said she’d probably go. Congratulations to Ms. Campbell, and sympathy for all you other players who didn’t get picked this year.
