Several Get 12 Right
Lucas Sprayberry, a student at Jasper County High School, beat out several others with 12 right last week to win the football contest. Mr. Sprayberry and two others had 12 right with a 42 point tie-breaker, but Tracey Nelson picked Texas to win the tie-breaker game, therefore eliminating her from the win. Then it was between Mr. Sprayberry and Jontae Sands.
The News staff had no choice but to draw straws, and Mr. Sprayberry became the winner. Mr. Sands, was like several who got 12 right…he gets his name on the honor roll, but gets no prize. Many had 12 right but most were further off the tie-breaker score of 41 which was the score of Georgia defeat of Texas, 22-19.
For his efforts, Mr. Sprayberry picked up a $25 prize from Christina Diaz, wife of business owner Marshall Diaz of MDHVAC, sponsor of the week.
And, it was the 15th and final week of the football contest. So, all that’s left is the drawing for the Grand Prize.
This week, all players are encouraged to check the honor roll, and make sure they have the right number of chances for the grand prize. If not, please call us right away, as we plan to have the Grand Prize drawing next Monday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m.
