Judge Tim Lam Sentences Many In Magistrate Court Session

Magistrate Court Judge Tim Lam reviewed several criminal and civil cases this month. The following sentences were the results of those hearings.

Criminal

Dwayne Jones was charged with failure to provide humane care, failure to vaccinate animal against rabies (three counts) and cruelty to animals (two counts). Count two was dismissed and Mr. Jones was granted abeyance for one year.

Robert Allen was charged with discharging firearm while under influence of alcohol, aggravated assault , and discharge of gun near public highway. A warrant was issued for aggravated assault charge only.

Marilyn Hayles was charged with failure to provide humane care (three counts) and was settled with probation.

Natalia Bautista was charged with disorderly conduct/public drunkenness and had a nolo plea and bond forfeiture.

Chase Patrick Mccullers was charged with three counts of violation of international property maintenance code (sanitation, rodent, rubbish). All charges were dismissed.

Joe Cartledge Jr. was charged with theft by taking. No warrant issued.

Thomas Burrell was charged with deposit account fraud and the case is continued.

Civil

JP Morgan vs. Cole Scott for suit on account. Consent was ordered.

John Whitlock vs. Rufus R. Whitlock for suit for money owed. Judgement for defendant.

Synchrony Bank vs. Kellsie Slauson for suit on account. Default judgement for $917.

Rebecca & Johnny Johnston vs. Daniel Jones for dispossessory. Writ issued and money judgment for $3,076.

Preppi Kitchens vs. Jason Thompson for dispossessory. Writ issued and money judgement for $3,176.

Preppi Kitchens vs. Wayne Bellamy for dispossessory. Writ issued for $1,676.

Misty Beam vs. Dondra Bagley and Brandon Babcock for dispossessory. Writ issued with no money judgment.

Credit Central vs. Ezzard Williams for suit on note. Judgment issued for $1,381.

Ford Motor Credit vs. Nancy Patton for suit on contract. Order for stay with bankruptcy.

Charles Barnes vs, Kaylee Jones for dispossessory. Writ issued with no money judgment.
