Only Four Make Honor Roll
One week recently Jared McCullough only missed winning the football contest by his tie-breaker. This week, he had the highest tie-breaker of anyone with 12 or more right, so he won!
For his efforts, he won a $25 prize from Georgia Energy, sponsor of the week. He was unable to pick up the prize in person, so he asked Stephanie Pittman to do so and she obliged. She was presented the prize by Brooks (holding check) and Coleman Alexander, two of the younger children of Rob and Katherine Alexander, owners of Georgia Energy. Mr. McCullough, along with Anne Tria, Cameron Burden and Ashton Cook correctly guessed the winners of 12 games listed in the contest last week. However, Mr. McCullough had the highest tie-breaker guess to win. The Monticello Hurricanes defeated Utopian Academy by a score of 63-0.
And those were the only four to have more chances to win the grand prize added to the honor roll, as no one else got 12 or more right.
With just four weeks left in the contest, time is running out to qualify for the grand prize of four premium tickets to the Chick-fil-A/Peach Bowl in Atlanta. So, don’t miss your chance this week.
Fifteen games are listed in the contest, and players must pick a winner of each game. Whoever gets the most correct, wins a $25 prize from Monticello Drugs, sponsor of the week.
A big question this week is will the Georgia Bulldogs return to form or fall to the Tennessee Volunteers this Saturday. Most contest players picked Georgia to win last week, and the Dawgs were defeated by Mississippi.
