Patricia devoted her life to Christ at an early age. She attended church with her family across the river at Antioch United Methodist Church in Sheltonville, Ga., currently known as Johns Creek. It was during this time that she met her husband while attending school at Hooperwrenick in Lawrenceville.

The two were united on December 27, 1958 and were blessed to see 38 years of matrimony. She supported her husband and joined his home church of New Bethel A.M.E. in Lithonia.

As a devoted wife and Christian, Patricia committed herself to the role of First Lady and followed her husband in his calling. Over the course of their union, they would serve the Lord at St. Paul A.M.E Church in Madison, Freedonia A.M.E. Church in Monticello, and Kings Chapel Community Church in Hillsboro.

Patricia’s extensive work career spanned the course of many years. Whether waitressing at Walt’s Restaurant as a teenager or advancing her profession as an adult in Dietary Nutrition at Dekalb and Eastside Medical, her warm presence and loving spirit was a beacon of light to everyone she encountered.
