Drugs Are Seized in Traffic Stop
Last Friday, May 24, while patrolling in the area of Hwy. 212 West a deputy observed a gray Nissan Sentra pass vehicles behind and two vehicles in front of the patrol car, in a reckless manner.
The Nissan swerved into the right lane and forced a gray GMC Sierra pickup truck off the roadway. The Nissan went up an embankment on the right side of the roadway and came to a stop. After a brief investigation, two opened alcohol containers were located in the front passenger floor board along with six bags of suspected marijuana and a trash bag full of American currency.
It was later discovered that the driver had also struck a vehicle and fled the scene shortly before being stopped by law enforcement. Zaquavilon Johnson, 35 of Savannah, was charged with duty of driver to stop at or return to scene of accident; open container violation; possession of a Controlled Substance w/intent to distribute; DUI/Driving Under the Influence of alcohol; reckless driving; obstruction of officers.

•Timothy Lynwood, 35, Monticello—aggravated stalking (two counts); criminal damage to property/2nd Degree; Cruelty to Children – 3rd Degree (two counts)
•Myles Tre’ Ashmon, 31, Stone Mountain—possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance; Marijuana/possession of less than an ounce
•Shareef Zahir Headen, 27, Carrollton—probation violation
•Tiffany Estelle Vance, 43, Forsyth—possession of Methamphetamine; possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance; Marijuana/possession of less than an ounce
•Steven De Husey, 46, Ellenwood—possession of Methamphetamine; possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance; Marijuana/possession of less than an ounce
•Fielding James Thompson, 40, Jonesboro—probation violation
•Steven Tyler Rosser, 28, McDonough—false statements or writings; conceal factors or fraudulent documents; probation violation
