Probation To Prison

Jasper County Superior Court conducted a motion day Tuesday under the jurisdiction of Judge Terry Massey.

Results from the criminal session included Demarcus D. Lynwood having his probation revoked to the state penal system until his probation expires in June 2026 for new charges. Those charges include robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, and possession of firearm by convicted felon in Gwinnett County in 2020. Those very same charges also applied to a case in Fulton County during the same year.

In 2023, the defendant was convicted of the Gwinnet County charges and robbery by force in Fulton County.

Wilfred Otero, sentenced to two years of probation for battery, family violence and obstruction ofan officer. Fined $500.

Kaylan Cupit, sentenced to one year of probation for possession of drug related offense. Fined $500.

Anegla Galvan, sentenced to one year of probation for possesion of drug related object. Fined $400.

Kyle Puckett, sentenced to one year of probation for possession of marijuana. Fined $500.

Probation revocations included:

David Long, revoked to 180 days in state probation detention center for theft by deception and forgery in the fourth degree charges in Hall County. Also committed offense of driving while license suspended as well as failure to appear in Barrow County in addition to not complete community service and pay court fines. he was ordered to pay $200 month toward restitution.

Dawn J. Bulson, revoked to 60 days in Jasper County jail for violation of probation terms.

Quintravioous Blackwell, revoked to successful completion of the Georgia department of Corrections drug program and associated aftercare for admitted drug use, failure to provide substance absue evaluatin, absconding supervision and failure to pay court fees.

Bond orders were granted for Zacarious Sanders and James Pleas. Mr. Sanders’ bond amount of $100,00o was for six active warrants and various drug related charges. Mr. Pleas has an $80,000.bond for three warrants and various drug charges as well.

Three probation sentences from last week’s April 9 session included:

Raymond Haldeman, revoked to 90-120 days in state probation detention center for positive drug tests and possession of a urine altering device. He was ordered to enroll and complete the Matrixx substance abuse program within one month of his release.

Zecharaih Whitby, revoked to 40 days in jail for a new offense of theft by shoplifting in Jasper County and failure to pay court fees.

Daniel Kelly, revoked to one year in jail for new offense of theft by shoplifting and first degree robbery in Rockdale County. Also failed to pay court fees.
