Much Is Happening

Many things are happening this week in Jasper County.

Tonight, April 18, is the annual meeting for the Jasper County Historical Foundation at 7 p.m., at Thomas Persons Hall, 319 College Street, Monticello.

There’s a candidate forum for the May 21 election set for next Tuesday, April 23, at 6 p.m. at the Courthouse.

Both the city and county are meeting Friday morning to handle business. The city will meet at 8:30 and the county is slated to meet at 9 a.m.

The local schools have a lot going on…especially sports. Be sure to see the Community Calendar on page 3 of today’s paper so you don’t miss a thing.
