Rob Alexander Seeks Dist. 3 Seat

I, Rob Alexander, am proud to announce my candidacy for County Commissioner for District 3. I am running because I believe District 3 deserves better. If elected, I will work alongside the other commissioners to make fair and responsible decisions regarding the future of Jasper County.

I’m a 4th generation farmer, farming a centennial legacy farm in Jasper County. I have been married for 23 years, and we have six children, and consider it a blessing to have raised them in this rural community.

In addition to being a small business owner serving this and surrounding counties for 17 years,, I am also a member of the Jasper Masonic Lodge #50 and the Al Sihah Shriners in Macon. As a volunteer for the Jasper County 4-H and FFA, I see the positive impact an agricultural community has on our youth.

As a member of the citizen’s committee who opposed R2 zoning, I have also voiced concerns over Jasper’s land use issues and most recently the proposal of privatizing the landfill.

As a commissioner, I will listen openly to the concerns brought before the Board and represent my constituent’s views and wishes. I am committed to maintaining our small town feel while carefully allowing reasonable economic progress and growth.
