The News on Vacation

For eight days Gail Harrell and Cindy Smith sailed down the Danube River from Passau, Germany, through Austria to Budapest, Hungary on a Viking River Boat. This was Gail’s third Viking Cruise and Cindy’s second. The best friends have traveled all over Europe together through the years. On this particular trip they visited Mauthausen, a Nazi Work Camp that held thousands during WWII. It was liberated by the Americans in 1945. Gail recalls that it was a very unsettling experience knowing how many thousands died there. There were many highlights during the trip, including a Mozart & Strauss Concert in Vienna for Gail and a wine tasting experience for Cindy. I am sure the “News” will travel with them on their next adventure.
