Ground Is Broken for New Medical Office

HOSPITAL BOARD MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, SUPPORTERS BREAK GROUND

Ground was broken Monday for a new medical facility in the county. Jasper Health Services is opening Primary Care Center North (PCCN) on Jackson Lake Road across from Larry’s 4-Way just past its intersection with Hwy. 212 west. Taking part in the groundbreaking ceremony Monday were members of the board at the hospital as well as employees of the hospital They include (left to right) Kim McMichael, Leah Campbell, Susan Denny, Kelly Raney, Robin Carey, Ricky Haizlip, Alison Hildebrant, Robert Cumbie, Steve Jordan and Patrick Carey.

“Jasper County continues to grow, and a lot of this growth is coming to the north side of the county. There are also a lot of people who already live in the area of Jackson Lake who never come to Monticello and do not even know that our facility is here,” said Hospital Administrator Robert Cumbie. “Many either go out of the county for healthcare, or do not see a doctor at all.

“It is our belief that this new clinic will serve the county’s growing population. Our mission says that we are committed to delivering compassionate and exceptional care for our community, and our vision says that we aspire to be THE leading provider in our region. I believe this is a big step to fulfilling both of those statements.

“Along with this new clinic, comes the opportunity to bring on a new provider. We are welcoming Dr. Andrew Odegaard. Dr. Odegaard grew up in Monticello, and because he is passionate about rural family medicine, he desires to move back home. Not only will he be the primary provider at PCCN, but he will also join our team that provides care to our hospital patients. He is board certified in family medicine, and I am certain he will be a great addition to Jasper Health Services,” said Mr. Cumbie.
