Several Sentenced in Court

The July 11 criminal session of Jasper Superior Court, conducted under the jurisdiction of Judge Stephen Bradley, resulted in the following sentences:
Jerry Nathan Lawley, sentenced to two years with the first 18-24 in the Damascus Road Recovery program from the Jasper County jail for possession of methamphetamine. He was credited for timed served since July 5, 2023.
Christopher Eugene Head, sentenced to four years of probation for battery, family violence, simple battery, and child restraint violation. Fined $1,550 and credited with time served.
Jason Andrew Grindle, sentenced to three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine. Fined $1,000 and credited with time served.
Malcolm L. Smith, sentenced to three years of probation for possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Fined $2,000.
Probation modifications included:
Karen Kelly, probation revoked to 180 days in a state probation detention center when space becomes available for failure to report to the Monticello DCS for intake, failure to complete substance abuse evaluation, and failure to pay court fines. .
Robert M. Iacopelli, probation revoked to entry into a residential substance abuse treatment program for several positive drug tests, a failed polygraph, and failure to attend treatment consistently.
Matthew C. Black, ordered to enroll and complete a minimum six month long term in-patient treatment program. for failure to report to probation following release, failure to provide correct address, failure to provide substance abuse evaluation, and failure to pay court fines.
Clint Jackson, probation revoked to 30 days in jail which was suspended upon completion of 105 hours of community service by November 2023, report monthly and pay monthly supervision fees for failure to report to probation and failure to make regularly scheduled payments.
Everitt Campbell, probation revoked to 30 days in jail for new offense of towing a skier with personal watercraft without an observer on board, failure to meet boating education requirement, and operating a vessel under the influence of alcohol (under age 21).
Adam Durden, received credit for time served since February 2023 for failure to report to probation and new offenses in Walton County.
