Wanda Louise Dennis

A celebration for life for Mrs. Wanda Louise Driskell Dennis was held Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Monticello. Rev./Dr. Jimmy Horton, pastor/eulogist
Wanda Louise Driskell Dennis was born February 17, 1962 to the late Albert Young of Connecticut and Mother Evelyn Driskell of Monticello.
Always to love the Lord, Mrs. Dennis was a faithful member of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church of Monticello, where she served on Usher Ministry, Senior Missionary, Pastor Support and Hospitality. She was a faithful lover of Bible Study.
A graduate of Jasper County High School, Wanda completed her education and worked for Hardees, School Nutritionist and Subway. She was an active person helping everyone she could. She loved being around family and friends. Wanda was a member of the Shiloh Burial Society.
Wanda answered the call of her heavenly father and departed this earthly life for her heavenly reward on June 26, 2023 with her husband, mother, niece and pastor near her side.
She preceded in death by her sister, Denise “Hoot Nanny” Driskell.
Wanda leaves cherished memories to her husband, Melvin Dennis; mother, Evelyn Driskell Epps; sister, Sharon Epps of Monticello; brother, Willie Charles Driskell of Monticello; sisters-in-law, Emma Kate Banks (Willie Lee) and Janice Hyman both of Shady Dale. Also, nieces: Tateliea Lynwood (Antonio) of Monticello and Shan Driskell of Jackson; nephews, Travers Epps, Fredrico Epps both of Monticello and Octavious Epps of North Carolina; 11 great-nieces, eight great-nephews, and a host of other family and friends that she loved dearly.
