Soccer ‘Canes Fall Short

The Jasper County Hurricanes took on Baldwin County in Milledgeville last Tuesday where they fell short 3-1, but not before a beautiful through ball and assist was sent by freshman Andrew Smith to junior Travis Teran for the goal.

The Canes held Baldwin to a 2-1 game until the last two minutes of the game, where Baldwin scored another goal. The Canes defense was led by freshman Julio Sanchez, alongside the fifth ranked keeper in the nation, Ricardo Sanchez-Hernandez. Carson Clark played excellent in the middle, with powerful support by Senior Azael Nunez.

On Wednesday the Canes took on the Monroe Area Hurricanes at home where they fell short 4-0. Shots on goal were taken by Alex Bautista, Will Garvin, Andrew Smith, and Azael Nunez, alongside several other Canes, but none sank into the net unfortunately.
