JCRD Is Seeking Fall Volunteer Coaches
The Jasper County Recreation Department is thrilled to announce a high number of registrations for its upcoming youth sports programs. With hundreds of families signing up for cheerleading, flag football, soccer, and other seasonal activities, the department is now in urgent need of additional volunteer coaches to ensure a fun, safe, and successful experience for all participants.
“We’re incredibly excited to see such strong community interest in our youth programs this year,” said Keldrick Davis, Director of Jasper County Recreation Department. “But with the surge in registration numbers, we’re asking for support from parents, guardians, and other community members to step up and coach.”
No prior coaching experience is required—just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to youth development. Training and resources will be provided, and background checks are conducted for the safety of all participants.
Volunteering as a coach is a rewarding way to give back, build community spirit, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of local youth. Teams range from ages 2 to 15, and practices and games are scheduled to accommodate busy family schedules.
If you’re interested in volunteering or learning more, please contact the Recreation Department at 706-819-3968.
Help us make this season unforgettable for our young athletes.
