COC Introduces New Director

The Monticello Jasper Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is excited to announce the hiring of Jennifer Lassen as the new Executive Director.

Jennifer is a native of Putnam County. She is a graduate of Gatewood School and received her bachelor’s of science in Mass Communications and Marketing from Georgia Southern University.

Lassen cites growing up on a dairy farm as the foundation of her work ethic. Her experience in sales and marketing and board experience with the Chambers of Commerce in Greene County and Milledgeville Baldwin County set her on the path to become the Executive Director of the Georgia Manufactured Housing Association from 2019 to 2021.

She has been active in her community through service on numerous boards. Jennifer married her high school sweetheart three years ago. They made Jasper County their home in 2022 where they have chickens, guineas, ducks and a dog named Remi. In her spare time Jennifer writes and speaks at church conferences and holds a monthly Bible study for women at her home.

Lassen says, “Monticello is a beautiful town with so much to offer its residents and visitors. I am honored to have the opportunity to be a part of this community and help Monticello shine.”
