Charles ‘Bryan’ Vance
Charles “Bryan” Vance of Macon, passed away on March 20, 2023 at the age of 72 in Brunswick.
Bryan was born in Rome on March 6, 1951, the son of the late Inez Bradshaw Vance and George Thornton Vance. Bryan was a graduate of Lanier High School in Macon. After graduating high school Bryan moved on to Statesboro where he would attend Georgia Southern University. It was there that he would become an active member of Kappa Alpha Order and also earn a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Industrial Technology.
Upon graduating from Georgia Southern University, Bryan moved back to Macon where he would meet the love of his life, Cyndie Lane. Bryan and Cyndie married November 7, 1976 at Highland Hills Baptist Church. They would go on to have three beautiful children and the next several decades were filled with raising kids and working hard to provide for his family.
In December of 2021 after 17 years of loyal service, Bryan retired from his job at Prince Service & Manufacturing Inc. serving as a Senior Project Manager.
Bryan enjoyed hunting and fishing, golf, grilling, cocktails by the pool, the Braves, and the Georgia Bulldogs! Since his retirement he loved traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
Bryan was a wonderful grandfather. He had the ability to make each of his six granddaughters feel like a princess and could often be found with his two grandsons at Bass Pro Shop and playing baseball in the front yard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Vance and sister, Elaine Vance.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Cyndie Lane Vance, son Chris Vance (Emily) of Savannah, daughter Beth Richardson (Nick) of St. Simons Island, and son John Vance (Amy) of Tampa, Fla. Grandchildren, Katy Lane Richardson, Liz Richardson, Banks Vance, Sunny Richardson, Gracen Vance, Fisher Vance, Clara Vance, and Ellie Vance.
A celebration of his life will be held at Highland Hills Baptist Church on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 2:30 pm. Family will greet friends following the church service in the great room.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Highland Hills Baptist Church, American Cancer Society, or the donor’s favorite charity.
