Ronald ‘Ronnie’ David Waits

Ronald ”Ronnie” David Waits, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023 at home surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Imogene Holcombe, his father Frank Waits and brothers Jerrold and Tim Waits.

Ronnie was born June 28, 1948. He was a kind and giving man. He will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed. He showed his caring ways and love to all of us and his many friends.

Born in Chamblee, he especially loved fishing, hunting, racing and related TV shows including his favorite Gunsmoke.

Ronnie is survived by his partner, Laura Greer, sons, Jack Waits (Whitney) and Robert Bannister (Bridget); granddaughter Willow Smith, nephews David Waits (Marsha), and Frank Waits (Tonya), nieces, Diane Segert (Matt) and Nicky Stepp (Derek). Extended family includes Brian Greer (Sarah), Jennifer Trotter (John), Nicole Patrick (Gary) and many great nieces, nephews, two great-great nephews, grandchildren, cousins and many other loving family members.

A memorial service for Ronnie will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Shriners Hospitals for Children https://donate.lovetotherescue.org which held a special place in his heart.
