Lady Cougars Win Again
Piedmont Academy’s varsity girls basketball team posted its sixth consecutive win of the season last week defeating Edmund Burke 59-33 in a holiday tournament hosted by Brentwood.
The Lady Cougars previously defeated Robert Toombs 47-30 in the tournament.
Piedmont (6-2 overall) was in the win against Robert Toombs by Marissa Holder who scored 20 points. Teagan Satterfield added 14 and Bailey Mobley scored 9.
Holder also scored 32 points in the win against Edmund Burke and is averaging 27.4 points per contest for 2022-23.
The Lady Cougars will host Trinity Christian School-Dublin Friday, Jan. 6 at 6 p.m. before hosting Central Fellowship on Saturday, Jan. 7 and Lake Oconee Academy on Tuesday, Jan. 10.
Piedmont’s boys fell to Robert Toombs 57-42 in the Brentwood tournament before earning their first win of the season in a 57-42 win against Edmund Burke.
The boys will also host Trinity on Friday, Central Fellowship on Saturday and Lake Oconee Academy on Tuesday.
