Walker Wins In Jasper; Warnock Holds Seat

Nearly 54 percent of Jasper County voters took the time to vote in the runoff for U.S. Senate, with Herschel Walker winning decisively here.

Mr. Walker received 4,567 votes while incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock received 1,339 votes. Statewide, Sen. Warnock won.

Some 3,047 people voted on election day with 2,595 voting last week, and 271 absentee ballots being cast.

A total of 5913 Jasper Countians cast votes out of the 10,956 registered voters in the county.
