Larry George Worley

Larry George Worley, age 80, of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at his residence.

Larry Worley was born in Clayton, Ga. to the late Percy Worley and Grace Lovena Holcomb Worley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Bertie Joanell Pruitt Worley; a child; and seven brothers and sisters.

Larry lived in DeKalb County before moving to Jasper County in the early 1980’s. Before retirement, he worked for the Atlanta Bin and Shelving Company.

Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the guitar and singing, horses and woodworking. His greatest love was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Larry Dwayne (Wendy) Worley of Jackson and Rhonda Sue Worley (Pete Aymond) of Sims Port, Louisiana; grandchildren, Kristen Nicole Worley (Bryant Fernandez), Larry Ray (Elizabeth) Goodwin and Tyler Stephon Ledford; great grandchildren, Chandler Nicole Hernandez, Peyton Fernandez, Shaun Lei, Kamden Fernandez, Andrew St. Romain and Bryson Goodwin; and sister, Greta Hopkins of Lawrenceville.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Bryson will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Jordan Funeral Home.
