Brenda Lee Turner Voss
Brenda Lee Turner Voss, 68, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2022 at her house on Falling Creek Drive in Greensboro.
Brenda was born on April 20, 1954 in Monticello to Mary Sue Tillman Turner and John Tolliver Turner. She was a graduate of the Piedmont Academy in Monticello. She graduated from the University of Georgia with an accounting degree and from Mercer University in Atlanta with a master’s degree in business administration.
She worked for the mass transit system in Atlanta (MARTA) for 18 years.
Brenda was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Aiken, S.C.
Brenda married Norman A. Voss in 1995 and they lived in Atlanta until 2004. After that they moved to Aiken, S.C. with Norman’s career until he retired last year. They recently returned to Lake Oconee to live out their retirement years.
Brenda enjoyed sewing, making quilts and window treatments for her family members. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs and being part of the communities where she lived. She always enjoyed coming back to Hillsboro where she grew up to see family and lifelong friends.
She is survived by her husband, Norman A. Voss; her sister and brother-in- law, Mary T. Daniel, and Gary Daniel of Atlanta, by step-children and step-grandchildren Douglas and Barbra Voss (Anna and Melia) of Marietta, Georgia and Graham and Ashley Voss (Jule) of Nashville, Tenn. She is also survived by two large families, with cousins and one Uncle on both sides of the Turner and Tillman families.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 13, 2022, at West View Cemetery in Monticello. Pastor David Williams of the Hillsboro Methodist Church will officiate.
A luncheon will be served after the service at the Thomas Persons Hall, located at the entrance to the West View Cemetery.
