JCHS Tracksters Compete at Region

The Jasper County High School Hurricane girls and boys squads began competition at the Georgia High School Association’s Region 3AA track meet held at Lamar County High School Tuesday. The two-day meet was to conclude on Wednesday with qualifiers named who will advance to the state track competition.

Lady Canes competitors and their categories include;

Girls 100 Meter Dash—Khayden Hope, Ariana Johnson, and Oriayha Thurman

Girls 1600 Meter Run— Brianna Dalton and Brooklyn Dalton

Girls 200 Meter Dash—JaKara Tobler, Ariana Johnson, and Stevi Davis

Girls 3200 Meter Run—Brianna Dalton and Brooklyn Dalton

Girls 400 Mete Dash—JaKara Tobler, Markinya Thomas, and Rarlie Moore

Girls 800 Meter Run—Jakara Tobler

Girls Discus Throw—Madeline Dekle, Marlee Farrar, and Layla Jackson

Girls High Jump—Ariyah Burke

Girls Long Jump—Khayden Hope, Oriayha Thurman, and Rarlie Moore

Girls Shot Put—Ariyah Burke, Layla Jackson, Marlee Farrar, and Oriayha Thurman

The Lady Canes will also have teams competing in the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 Meter Relays.

Boys 100 Meter Dash—Tyler Banks, Ardarius Benton, and Marlerio Stone

Boys 1600 Meter Run—Kemarion Thomas, William Garvin, and Michael Abner.

Boys 200 Meter Dash—Randy Williams, Tyler banks, and Marlerio Stone

Boys 3200 Meter Run—Michael Abner and William Garvin

Boys 400 Meter Dash—Kemarion Thomas

Boys 800 Meter Run—Kemarion Thomas and Elijah Terrell

Boys Discus Throw—Marlerio Stone, Camden Jackson, and Drayone Greene

Boys High Jump—Randy Williams and Geralynn Benton

Boys Long Jump—Geralynn Benton, Shamarian Greene, and Jacarian Grier

Boys Shot Put—Brandon Ridley, Marlerio Stone, and Drayone Greene

Boys Triple Jump—Geralynn Benton and Jacarian Grier

The Canes will also have teams in the 4 x 100, 4 x 200, and the 4 x 400 Meter Relays.
