Jasper County Deputies Make 200+ Stops

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) conducted over 200 traffic stops in the last week in addition to answering numerous other types of calls.

They also served 53 civil papers and conducted 63 premises checks. Storms last week may have played a role in the dozen roadway hazards they investigated and the nine alarm calls.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

Michael Oneal Lyons, 55, Monticello—public drunkenness

Jeremy Rudolph Bragg, 43, Monticello—criminal trespass

Randall Craig Hegwood, 41, Covington—probation violation.

Jaquana Janee Simmons, 26, Union City—failure to appear for a fingerprintable charge (two counts)

Allen Michael Hum-phries, 30, Mansfield—failure to appear for a fingerprintable charge (two counts)

Lucas Keith Greenway, 28, Monticello—DUI/driving under the influence

Jennifer Hood Sasser, 48, Milledgeville—possession of cocaine, drug related objects, driving while license suspended/revoked

Rodney Vernard Rooks, 52, Monticello—simple battery, driving while license suspended/revoked, reckless driving

Derrick Deongelus Alexander, 25, Covington—crossing guard lines with weapon/drugs/intoxicants, theft by receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, tail light requirement

Willie Lee Mcguire III, 32, Monticello—fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, possession of cocaine, removing or affixing license plate with intent to conceal, failure to stop for a stop sign, open container violation, operation of vehicle without current plate, failure to maintain lane, driving while license suspended or revoked, no insurance

Roman Jonathan Mayo, 20, Covington — headlights, driving while license suspended or revoked

Benjamin Clark Kraft, 58, Conyers—failure to appear for a fingerprintable charge (two counts)

Andrew Nicholas Carr, 20, Monticello—disorderly conduct

Princeton Raymone Whitening, 32, Gray—possession of a Schedule II Controled Substance, failure to stop for stop sign
