Annie Nora Farrar
A celebration of life for Annie Nora Farrar, who died March 17, 2022 was held Saturday, March 26, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, in Shady Dale. Rev. Ralph Anthony Sullivan, eulogist.
Ms. Farrar was born March 23, 1937 to the union of Charlie Farrar and Emmie Ross Farrar in Jasper County. She received her education in Jasper County and later moved to Atlanta where she worked and made her living. After moving to Atlanta, she joined the Greater Springfield Baptist Church where she served and sang in the choir.
Ann was an avid Atlanta Braves fan that loved eating pork skins and drinking Pepsi Colas.
She had no children but loved all her nieces and nephews as her own.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two brothers: Rossie Farrar and Charlie Farrar, Jr. and five sisters: Lois Thomas, Vera Pitts, Roberta Epps, Mildred Bradley and Marie Johnson.
Ann leaves to cherish her memory four sisters, Edith Johnson and Barbara Ann Ridley, both of Atlanta, Shirley Farrar of Social Circle, and Mary Ann Hernandez of Conyers; two sisters-in-law, Annie Ruth Farrar and Ola Mae Farrar, a special nephew, Barron Farrar of Monticello, and a loving nephew, Kelvin Thomas, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
