Persons Are Arrested During Week
Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) investigated numerous complaints over the last week, and made several arrests.
Those arrested include:
•Maynard Elroy Ratzel, III, 46, Monticello—crossing state/county guard lines with weapon/drugs/intoxicants, terroristic threats and acts, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, criminal trespass
•Charlie James Bridges, Jr, 30, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Jonathan James Moorer, 30, Monticello—surety off bond.
•Devin Lama Merritt, 27, Jackson: open container of alcohol, failure to maintain lane, speeding, DUI – driving under the influence of alcohol.
•Gerald Wayne Porter, 41, Hiram—failure to appear for fingerprintable charge.
•Kasey Blue White, 33, Eatonton—driving while license suspended or revoked.
•Marvis Armel Wyman, 41, Monticello—probation violation, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers by use of threats.
•Dallas Mitchell Arnold-Bentley, 26, Spartanburg— driving while license suspended or revoked.
•Glen Richard Townsend, 67, Monticello—possession of a schedule I controled substance.
•Adam Judson Jones, 39, Conyers—theft by receiving stolen property, removing or affixing license plate w/intent to conceal.
•Hadley Luke Jackson, 40, Monticello—violation of conditions on limited driving permit, operation of vehicle without current plate registration and license requirements; penalties, no insurance.
Deputies responded to numerous calls for service, including 98 incidents of stopping suspicious person or vehicle, 64 premises check, 46 serve civil papers, 28 direct traffic, 19 subject needs officer, 12 alarms and 12 accidents, 10 special detail, nine VIN verification, seven pick up prisoner or subject, six welfare check, five sex offender check, and numerous other calls for various concerns throughout the county.
Other types of calls include loud music, threatening or harrassing calls, trouble unknown, theft by taking, shoplifting, gas drive-off, drag racing, and lots more.
