Curtis Driskell, Jr.
A celebration of life for Curtis Driskell, Jr. who died January 24, 2022, was held Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at Community Cemetery, 544 Hwy 11 South, Agateville, Ga 31038. Bishop Joe Lewis Ridley, Eulogist.
Curtis Driskell, Jr., was the son of the late Curtis Driskell, Sr. and Ruby Jackson Driskell. He was born on July 20, 1951.
Curtis graduated from Maggie Califf High School in Jones County. He served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1973. Curtis was employed at Mobile Chemical for 10 years and the Marriott Hotel in Decatur until retirement.
Curtis was a member of a Holiness Church in Decatur. He was a joyous person who loved life, children and his dog and cats. Curtis also had a special talent as a mechanic.
Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Driskell, Sr. and his aunt, Inez Cargile.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Ruby Jackson Driskell; brother, Danny (Wanda Evette) Driskell; sister, Annette (Eddie) Williams; nephews, Christopher Stone, Johntavious Gaither, Derrick Driskell, Daniel Driskell, Larry Myrick and Chad Green; a niece, Linda Myrick.
Also, special friends Bonnie McElhaney, Charles Jackson and Jerry Vinson. Also, a host of great nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A very special thanks to Wanda Evette Driskell, his loving caregiver and to Abbey Hospice.
