MS Cougar Wrestlers Excel
It was a long trip to the state wrestling meet for the Piedmont Academy Middle School grapplers but the ride back home was a fun one.
The Middle School Mat Cougars placed fifth at the state meet on Saturday in Valdosta. In addition, Jamus Wingate won first place at 152 while Austin Anglin (88) and Braxton Floyd (160) were both runners-up in their respective weight classes.
Tyler McVey (138), Jacob Diamond (145) and Camden Grant (160) were all fourth to help cap off the successful state tournament.
Coach Nick Meadows said it was a strong showing for the Middle School Cougars.
