COVID-19 Testing Is Available With JMH

With COVID-19 cases rising everywhere, including Jasper County, testing options have been scarce. Jasper Memorial Hospital staff reminds everyone that outpatient testing opportunity remains the best option for the local community to schedule a COVID test.

The hospital receives a fax order from the physician, the patient self-schedules the time to come to the hospital for their test, and the hospital registers them in advance for the test. All of this can be done through the website at www.jaspermemorialhospital.org. The hospital’s fax number is 706-468-9880 or 706-468-4513. Testing provided is rapid or PCR but allow 48 hours for PCR results.

JMH hours are Monday– Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

JMH Administrator Jan Gaston also noted that the facility’s positivity rate for COVID-19 has remained greater than 30 percent since the week beginning December 20.
