Janna Hooper Gets 14 Right

It was a relatively easy football contest week, it appears, as numerous people got 12 or more right to have their names added to the Grand Prize Honor Roll.

However, only one person got as many as 14 right, and that was Janna Hooper, a long-time player of The Monticello News contest, who beat out her daughters and other family members and friends to win the contest. For her efforts she picked up a $25 prize from Carol Ann McMichael with Abbey Hospice, sponsor of the week. Mrs. McMichael made the presentation at the Visitors’ Center as Abbey Hospice is located in Social Circle.

Most everyone missed on Washington’s defeat of Carolina, 27-21, and others missed on various high school, college or pro games.

The Monticello News football contest is designed so anyone can play and anyone can win. And this week, one lucky winner will get a $25 prize from Covington Ford, sponsor of the week.

Just turn to page 9 of today’s paper, complete the entry form (or write your answers on a separate piece of paper), and submit to The Monticello News no later than 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26.

Entries may be submitted by email to info@themonticellonews.com, by fax to 706-468-6576, or in person at 247 West Washington Street. Besides one lucky player winning $25, players who get 12 or more right will have their names added to the honor roll for four premium tickets to the Chick-Fil-A/Peach Bowl in Atlanta on December 30. And, you get bragging rights, too!

So sharpen your pencils, and submit your entry by Friday afternoon.

Please write legibly.
