C. Campbell Is Closest on Tie-Breaker
Two of the Monticello News football contest players got as many as 13 right in last week’s contest, but the winner, Cassandra Campbell, was closest on the tie-breaker.
Ms. Campbell guessed 45 points would be scored in Piedmont’s 28-21 over Augusta Prep. Also guessing the winners of 13 games listed was Amanda Holland who guessed higher on the tie-breaker.
For her effort, Ms. Campbell picked up a $25 prize from Clint Welch, headmaster at Piedmont Academy, sponsor of the week.
Several other players got 12 right to have their names added to the grand prize honor roll for a chance at four tickets to the Chick-fil-A/Peach Bowl in Atlanta on December 30.
There’s still many weeks to go in the weekly football contest sponsored by The Monticello News and 15 sponsors. So you still have time to get involved.
This week, one lucky—or smart—winner will collect a $25 prize from Venture Medial Associates, sponsor of the week.
