Students Return To School Tuesday
Jasper County Charter System Wednesday released its protocol for students return to in-person learning next Tuesday, Sept. 7, after the students have been out of school for nearly two weeks because of Covid cases.
The first part is that from September 7 to September 17 all students and employees will be required to wear facial coverings indoors.
In addition, facial coverings will be required on buses until further notice.
•No visitors will be allowed into classroom settings until further notice.
•Revised quarantine protocols based upon individual school settings
Effective September 20 until further notice
•The system will implement a protocol if six (6) presumptive or confirmed cases are documented on a campus during a one-week timeframe, then the impacted campus will remain with the facial covering requirement for an additional week. This will be reevaluated weekly on a timeframe from noon Friday-noon Friday.
“We are looking forward to the return of students to our buildings,” said Supt. Kenny Garland in a letter to stakeholders Wednesday. “Please help communicate these protocols as we mitigate this unique time in schools. We appreciate your support.”
