Ashley Clegg Is Varsity Canes Soccer Coach

The Jasper County High School Boys Soccer team will start off the 2022 season strong with a new head coach—Ashley Clegg.
Justin LeSuer, who coached the boys for two seasons, left Jasper County, leaving an opening for head coach which will be filled by Coach Clegg. She will also be the assistant varsity coach for Lady Canes softball this fall.
Clegg started the inaugural soccer team at Jasper County Middle School two years ago. The coach said she felt that after the experience she has had the past 10 years with coaching recreational soccer and at the middle school, that high school varsity was just the next step for her. She also spoke well of the team, quoting this season as a “growing year,” but still having high hopes for this season.
Coach Clegg looks forward to working with the team this year, and hopes to not only prepare the boys to work at a varsity level and beyond, but also help the program become more involved with college recruiters.
