Andre Lanail Mitchell

A celebration of life for Andre Lanail Mitchell, was held Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Greenwood Baptist Church in Monticello. Bishop Nicholas Curry officiated; burial was in New Community Cemetery in Adgateville.

Andre Mitchell was a lifelong resident of Monticello, and he died unexpectedly on Monday, may 31, 2021 at the age of 45. He was born in Morgan County on April 20, 1976 to the late Cherry Mitchell and the late David Tinsley Sr. He was a devoted son, grandson, nephew, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. In his free time, Andre enjoyed fishing, watching sports and cooking on the grill.

He is predeceased in death by his parents, Cherry Mitchell and David Tinsley Sr., and his sisters, Sheila Dennis and Shondra Hunter.

Andre is survived by his children, Amber Mitchell and Tyree Mitchell, his beautiful granddaughter, Little Miss Amiyah Hardeman; his siblings, Alvin (Shakela) Tinsley, Melissa (Oscar) Derricho, Telsa Tinsley, Donnell Mitchell, Trameka (Raymone) Whitening, David (Latoya) Tinsley Jr., and Quentin Mitchell, his grandmother, Essie Mitchell and a hot of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
