JCHS, PA Graduations Are this Weekend

Inside today’s newspaper is a special section saluting the graduating classes of Jasper County High School and Piedmont Academy, as well as a number of young people graduating elsewhere or achieving college honors.

Most of the students at each school are featured, as are well-wishes from the community, parents, grandparents, friends and relatives.

Jasper County High School graduation ceremony is set for Friday, May 28, at 8 p.m. at Hurricane Field.

Piedmont Academy graduation ceremony is set for Saturday, May 29, at 10 a.m. at the school gymnasium.

No tickets are required for entry, although there are reserved sections for parents. As long as the weather holds, and graduation is held on the field, everyone is welcome, assures JCHS Principal Buddy Cain.

Heading up the festivities Friday will be Julia Aldridge giving the valedictory address and Gabrielle McCombie offering the salutatory address.

For Piedmont, Cameron Mobley will give the valedictory address and Sydney Stroud will give the salutatory address.
