Deputies Investigate Several Complaints

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) responded to several accidents in the last week, including a fatal accident on Hwy. 11 north. In addition, they investigated several complaints.

A resident reported his homemade trailer stolen from his front yard. Deputies also investigated a theft by conversion where a resident’s caregiver is taking his check but not paying his bill.

There were also reports of identity fraud, a routine occurrence these days, and a financial card fraud.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Hakeel Devonte Norwood, 28, Monroe—probation violation.

•Christopher Hughes Austin-Faust, 25, Monticello—driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Miguel Angel Bautista, 20, Monticello—driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Jason Todd Chapman, 35, Locust Grove—failure to appear Superior Court bench warrant.

•Justin Lee Mosley, 39, Rutledge—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Victor Lamont Bell, 48, Conyers—purchase/possession/manufacture/distribution or sale of marijuana.

•Clayton Scott Hardy, 26, Monticello—probation violation.

•Eliazar Bautista, 56, Monticello—driving without a valid license.

•John Tyler Ireland, 25, Covington—fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, possession of Schedule I controlled substance, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, speeding and failure to maintain lane.

•Michael Joseph Bulson, 45, Monticello—driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Khylia Rakel Stewart, 23, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce, possession and of Schedule I controlled substance.

•Clement James Abbott, 61, Buford—probation violation.

•Ricky Dale Johnson, 42, Social Circle—probation violation.

•Kent Joseph James Turcotte, 29, Jacksonville, FL: possession of Schedule I controlled substance, tail light violation, windshield violation and driving while license suspended or revoked.
