Cougar Track Teams Travel to LaGrange for Region

The Piedmont Academy track teams competed in their final regular season meet last week at Gatewood in Eatonton prior to the region competition.

For the Lady Cougars top performances included:

•Marissa Holder, seventh, 1,600-meter run, 7:05

•Holder, seventh, shot put, 27-11.5

•Holder, eighth, discus, 63-9

•MaLynne Webb, 12th, shot put, 26-8

•Hannah Tyler, 12th, 300-meter hurdles, 1:01.84

Piedmont’s boys also had several standout performances at Gatewood including:

•Ryan Kennemore, fourth, triple jump, 39-0

•Tanner Locklear, fifth, 100-meter dash, 11.74

•Cole Wade, sixth, 300-meter hurdles, 49.94

•Ryan Holder, sixth, long jump, 18-11.5

•4×100-meter relay team, ninth, 49.84
