Probation Revoked For Many

Several defendants had their probation revoked during last week’s criminal session of Jasper Superior Court under the direction of Judge Amanda Petty.

Gregory Thurman had his probation revoked to the state penal system until September 2022 for violating previously established probation conditions. He was charged with committing the new offense of obstruction of an officer in March 2021 for which he was sentenced to 90 days in Jasper County jail and credited with time served. The defendant also failed to complete a substance abuse assessment, failed to report to the probation office, and failed to pay court fees.

Candy Cleveland had her probation revoked to 150 days in jail which was suspended upon entry into Mary Hall Freedom Village Substance Abuse Treatment Program for six months. The defendant violated her probation by leaving the Breaking The Chains Recovery program without completion.

David Tinsley, Jr. had his probation revoked to jail for 60 days for violating his probation due to failure to complete a substance abuse evaluation, failure to report new address, and committing new offense of possession of tobacco by inmate.

William Butler was sentenced to 60 days in jail for hunting deer at night with a possession of firearm by convicted felon nolle prossed. The defendant also signed a waiver of extradition and order for transport to Alabama for charges standing there.

Ashley Enrique had her probation revoked to 60 days in jail for a new offense of driving under the influence, noise violation, and obstructing traffic at an intersection in Putnam County. The defendant also tested positive for drugs, failed to complete community service, and failed to pay court fees. Upon release, she will have 30 days to obtain a substance abuse and mental health evaluation.
