Man Shoots At Another from Vehicle
Quantonious Ahmir Da’Vorren Banks, 24, of Monticello has been charged with aggravated assault and reckless conduct after allegedly discharging four rounds of a 9mm from a Springfield Armory XD-9 from within a motor vehicle at Mekedric Maddox who was in a vehicle during a verbal altercation. A round struck the back hatch of the vehicle and a round struck the passenger rear taillight.
That information was on the warrant for arrest, and an inquiry to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) gained the response that it is still under investigation.
Other incidents deputies investigated in the last week included several financial transaction card fraud issues, and a cooler was taken from the golf course at Turtle Cove. It was taken from the area of Hole #7, and staff reported several items had been taken from that area.
A bicycle was reported taken from an address on Jordan Street.
Other persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:
•Donna Smitherman, 51, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine and public drunkenness.
•Christopher Kyle Reynolds, 34, Rayle—disorderly conduct.
•John Hudson Krienke, 54, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, endangering the life of a child while driving under the influence (two counts).
•Randy Martinez, 26, Eatonton—failure to maintain line and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Stuart Daniel Pickett, 27, Monticello—battery
•Holden Garett Franklin, 27, Mansfield—cruelty to children-3rd degree, battery and criminal trespass.
•Jermaine Eugene Andrews, 44, Covington—possession of Schule I controlled substance and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
