Man Sentenced to 10 Years in Jail
Judge William A. Prior, Jr. presided over the criminal and arraignment sessions of Jasper Superior Court last Tuesday during which James R. Spensley was sentenced to 10 years of confinement.
The defendant was initially charged with five counts including criminal attempt to commit a felony (reduced to criminal attempt to commit child molestation), computer pornography, obscene internet contact with a child (nolle prossed), possession of methamphetamine, and obstruction of an officer. He was credited with time served since August 2018.
Also, Christina Dunn had her probation revoked 90 days to the Jasper County jail for violating current probation conditions including a new offense of giving false information to a law enforcement officer.
Judge Stephen Bradley presided over the civil cases in Superior Court last Tuesday.
