JCMS Soccer Canes Earn Win

The Jasper County Middle School boys soccer team traveled to Social Circle last week and recorded a 3-0 region victory.

Ricardo Sanchez-Hernandez scored two goals and Carson Clark added one.

Clark and Angel Martin also had assists.

Alex Torres had a strong match in goal keep the Redskins scoreless.

The JCMS Lady Canes fell to SCMS 3-1. Hailey Roper scored a goal for the JCMS girls.

Coaches also credited Ariana Reyes for her standout play.

The JCMS hosted Morgan County on Monday. The Lady Canes fell 8-1 while the boys were defeated 3-0.

Roper scored the lone goal or the Lady Canes. Grace DeGarmo and Madelyn Taylor both shared the roles as keepers.

The boys played a scoreless game until the last 10 minutes of the second half when Morgan County scored its first goal. The Bullpups sunk two more in the goal in the last five minutes of the match
