Mildred Louise Hawkins Lane

Mildred Louise Hawkins Lane, age 92, formerly of Eatonton, passed away Monday, Dec. 21, 2020 at The Retreat Nursing Home.

Mildred Lane was born on January 16, 1928 to the late Ellis Hawkins and Viola Moon Hawkins. She lived in Eatonton until returning to Monticello in 2016. She was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church in Eatonton.

Mildred worked as a caregiver for a number of years until retiring at the age of 85.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Luke Lane, III; daughter, Vicki Jan Peters; and brother, Kenny Hawkins.

She is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Kenneth) Mason of Monticello; grandsons, Ken (Sandy) Mason, Jr. and Kahle (Sissy) Mason of Monticello; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and a number of step-children.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
