Few Are Sentenced In Superior Court

Judge Terry Massey presided over the motion day and criminal calendar last Tuesday which produced a handful of sentences.

•Billy Joe Strickland, sentenced to two years of probation for possession of methamphetamine while charges of possession of drug related objects and defective windshield were nolle prossed. He was fined $700.

•Aaron Nelson, sentenced to one year of probation for lesser offense of reckless driving while unlawful use of blue lights was nolle prossed. Fined $500 and ordered to complete a DUI risk reduction class.

•David Mitchell, probation revoked to Department of Corrections for new offenses including theft by shoplifting charges in Dekalb and Fulton counties.

•Randall Hester, probation revoked to 30 days in Jasper County jail for failure to report to probate supervision.

Also, Joshua Shull was granted bond of $15,000 and Justin Bostic was approved for a pre-trial diversion.
