Lady Canes To Host Playoff Games

The Jasper County-Monticello Hurricane ladies, ranked second in Region 3AA, will host Toombs County on Monday, Oct. 19 at 4 and 6 p.m. at the softball field located at the school, 14477 Hwy. 11 North.

The ladies played a non-region contest at GMC Wednesday, falling 7-5. The ladies then traveled to Jefferson on Thursday for a double-header. They won the first one 7-2 against Union County, and fell 4-2 to Jefferson.

The ladies have worked hard and are looking forward to having a big crowd cheer them to victory Monday.

Masks are required to enter the stadium and social distancing will be required. It’s a three-game series beginning Monday. Admission to Monday’s double-header is $7, and admission to Tuesday’s game which is scheduled for 5 p.m. is $5, again with masks and social distancing required.
